By providing us with your personal information and using our website, we assume that you have read and understood the terms related to the personal data protection information we give.
We take responsibility on complying with the current data protection legislation and aim to process your data lawfully.
1. RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA PROCESSING
Your data will be processed by the company Batista & Batista - Comércio Retalhista em Supermercados, Lda, legal person nr. 503701360, headquartered at Urb. Montes da Luz, lote 58, 8600-164 Praia da Luz - Lagos. This company is responsible for the processing of personal data according to General Regulation of Data Protection.
2. PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
• Management of customers and potential customers
The main reason we collect your personal information is to facilitate and improve the service you, as a customer, expect from us.
The processing of your data is necessary for the relations between you and the company Batista & Batista to work. If you do not provide your data, we will not be able to provide you with the requested services.
We collect your personal information to manage your purchases and orders at Supermercado Baptista, namely shipping and returns management, whether in our store, either through our website or by phone.
We only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to comply with the provision of services and our legal obligations.
• Managing complaints or contacts
You can send us by email (email@example.com) or using the contact form on the website any suggestions or complaints regarding the services provided by us. We collect your data to analyze and resolve any situation underlying your suggestion or complaint.
• Managing suppliers
The processing of your information is necessary for the execution of the contract to be concluded between you and the company Batista & Batista. If you do not provide your data, we will not be able to fulfill the contractual obligations assumed.
Your data will be kept for this purpose up to 10 years after the last contact with us.
Information regarding suppliers may be processed by us for the purpose of managing litigation. The legal basis is the existence of a legitimate interest on our part and the data will be kept for the period necessary for the exercise of such rights.
Batista & Batista collects the personal data of candidates provided in the recruitment page of the website, by email or in person (by delivering a CV in our store).
Your data will be kept for the purpose of managing recruitment processes for a period of 3 years. After this period, applications will no longer be included in the list of active applications, and the data will be deleted.
• Premises Security
For security reasons, images will be captured and recorded inside our store, using CCTV systems, for the protection of people and property, and also aiming for the prevention of the practice of crimes.
Your data will be kept for this purpose for 30 days.
3. WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Generally, the personal information you provide us includes name, tax identification number, address, telephone contact, CV and email address.
4. WHOM WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
Your personal information may be disclosed to third party service providers of the company Batista & Batista.
If you are our customer or supplier, your personal data may be processed by companies subcontracted by us, namely to perform tasks of management or maintenance of computer systems, electronic mail, payment management and private security. These companies are provided only with the specific personal data necessary for the provision of the actual service. These third parties only have access to the personal information necessary to carry out their task.

7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We are committed to protecting your personal data. The company has implemented the appropriate, necessary and sufficient logical, physical, organizational and security measures to protect your personal data against destruction, loss, alteration, dissemination, unauthorized access or any other form of accidental or illicit treatment.
The home delivery service is free and available from the area of Sagres to Alvor, including the region of Aljezur and Monchique.
Deliveries take place from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm, except on January 1st, Easter Sunday and December 25th.
If you place your order before 6pm, you can receive it within a minimum of 24 hours, subject to the availability of the service.
However, we value flexibility and, whenever possible, we try to deliver faster if the customer so wishes.
The customer is asked to state the desired date and time when ordering.
Orders can be paid in cash, debit or credit card or VISA, upon delivery.
According to Decree-Law No. 106/2015 of 16 June, the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age is prohibited.
The delivery service includes boxes for transportation of orders.
The customer can call or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request the cancellation of an order, as long as it has not yet been shipped.
Our main concern is the quality of our products and services.
However, if you are not satisfied with a certain product (regardless of whether it is defective) you can return it to our employee upon delivery of the order, and we will proceed to its immediate refund.
To make it eligible for return, the product must be in the state in which it was purchased, including the original packaging.
